LANGUAGE PATTERNS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING: VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL DISCOURSE

Distance learning with its virtual settings has launched the transformation of education delivery, pedagogy, and classroom management. Consequently, it could cause educational discourse in higher as well. The research is focused on revealing distance learning. Besides, paper answers following questions: how university teachers communicate students classrooms; what language patterns they use for giving instructions; whether verbal communication between crucially changed digitally-based education. A mixed method approach (discourse analysis 12 video-recorded lessons ESL survey (n = 45)) makes possible to shed light state play discourse. reveals that 1) classrooms depends pedagogical activities which allows classifying models into categories – preparation teaching material presentation online, student engagement an activity instruction EdTech, expressing emotions or attitude; 2) special instructions related using ICT tools apps, e.g. screen sharing, chatting emotional modality; 3) except linguistic extra-linguistic features includes informal modes chat emojis signs. findings highlight transformed insights can contribute investigation analysis.
